Maintenance now complete - there were 2 short periods of 5 mins downtime - thanks for understanding
You may have noticed a short period of downtime yesterday and again today. None of our servers were down and all servers were up throughout. The issue was caused by a major Denial of Service Attack on the Data Centre Facility we rent rackspace from in Orlando.
Staff are performing emergency maintenance tomorrow morning (8 December 2010) between 5am and 10am UK time to ensure the system copes with a similar attack again. Downtime will be minimal during this time frame. This maintenance is vital for the performance of the network and is essential at this time.
We really apologise for any inconvenience and do assure you we take your uptime seriously. Anyone who has been with us for a while will know that downtime is a rare thing. Please do open a support ticket if you have any questions or further concerns. All servers are currently up and the downtime today was relatively short and not all servers were affected but we felt we wanted to make you aware of the issues.
Please note this incident did not affect our UK Data Centre and only our USA data centre was affected.
