Congratulations to our iPad Winner: Barry Fisher. We have been in contact with the winner and the iPad will be shipped after the New Years Bank Holiday.
Anyone who was following us on 31 December 2010 and who had Tweeted the message was entered into the draw for the iPad. Many entries were from non clients but many entries were from clients. A non client had as equal a chance of winning as a client had. It happened that a client won the iPad.
I am greatly disturbed that my integrity and the integrity of Big Wet Fish Hosting has been called into question by a number of Twitter followers who have never dealt with us, do not know us and have absolutely no idea how the drawing was carried out. Such followers are tweeting messages that are simply not true.
The draw was carried out fairly in front of witnesses who are not BWF staff. If any client has any questions about how the drawing was carried out please open a support ticket via your client area and I will be happy to explain personally to anyone who wants to know more details.
I believe this competition was good for us. We have gained many new followers and many tens of thousands of hits on our website. I do hope we can offer such a competition again in the future but I feel personally the next big contest should be for our Clients only who know us and trust us.
All the people complaining and moaning are (to my knowledge) not clients and have absolutely no idea who we are or how we do business. I want to thank our many clients who have come on Twitter to defend us as a company. That means a lot. I will be blocking and filtering the tweets of any user who tweets or retweets untrue statements concerning this competition or our comapny.
