R1Soft Discontinuing VPS Backup Licenses

We're posting this purely for information as this change will affect some of our clients in the new year. As soon as we have more information we will let the relevant clients know.
Right now Continuum the parent company of R1Soft sell backup licenses as two separate products - VPS Licenses and Dedicated Server Licenses. VPS Licenses are significantly cheaper than Dedicated Server Licenses.
Continuum the owner of R1Soft have announced that from 1 January 2017 they will be stopping selling cheaper licenses for VPS Servers and all VPS Servers will now need a standard server license. Our account manager will be reaching out to us with details of how this will affect us but it's likely to see an increase in the costs of R1Soft Licenses for VPS Servers which we'll need to pass onto clients.
The monent we know the impact of this change by R1Soft we'll reach out to the relevant clients. We will have a number of options for all affected clients (some with zero cost increase) and depending upon your server setup we'll let clients know all options.
