Update 7.30pm

We promised an update at 7pm following our senior team meeting.  We're pleased to confirm the data centre have restored power to the affected data hall.  We're still concerned at the initial lack of updates but are pleased to note updates have been more freqent since our initial complaint.

We'll keep the use of this facility under review but as of now all servers are up and running.  A small percentage of our UK Server stock are in this facility.  Although a small % of our overall client base we deeply apologise for the outage today.

Once we receive a formal reason for outage from the data centre we will make this available to all affected clients.

If any client has any specific questions or concerns please open a helpdesk ticket and mark it for the attention of management and we'll gladly address all concerns promptly.

5.00pm

We're aware of an ongoing issue with the servers we have in our Coventry facility.  The data centre has been experiencing intermittent power issues since 3am this morning.  This has resulted in three bursts of downtime for the servers in this facility.  The servers in this facility are a very small percentage of our overall server stock:

- Server 42 Shared Server
- Server 43 Shared Server
- Xen42 VPS Node hosting 6 Virtual Machines for 6 clients

No other server is affected by this current outage.

We have been assured by the management team of the UK Servers Data Centre and Colocation facility that they are doing all they can to resolve the issue.  Unfortunately information from them has been somewhat lacking and this is most disappointing for us.  Outages do happen but lack of communication and vague replies are inexcusable.

We're having a management team meeting at 7pm this evening to review this situation.  This is a reasonable amount of time for the data centre management in Coventry to get us some useful information on what is actally happening.  Should information not be forthcoming we will start contingency plans to restore our affected clients to servers in our IOMART facility in Maidenhead Berkshire where 95% of our UK server stock is located.

As it stands at 5.21pm server 43 (shared server) is the only server still off line and we're already prepping a restore to Maidenhead as a precaution.  We'll have a further statement at 7.30pm

=======================================

Data Centre Information received at 5.21pm:

We are currently experience issues with power at our Coventry Datacentre. The Generators and APCs are running but some customers may experience issues. We are working this as a matter of urgency to ensure we have this resolved as soon as we physically can. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

Update:

Our Coventry datacentre site experienced a power outage from Western Power at around 08:00 this morning, our generators started and took the load however after a few hours generators at the site developed faults.
Power has now been restored at the site but this is through our generators, Western Power are working to restore the power which should hopefully be completed shortly.

Update:

A further power outage has occurred since the initial restoration. Please be assured we are doing all the possibly can to restore all services.
