Full Announcement from our Data Centre Partners (IOMART)

As part of our commitment to quality and continual improvement, we will be beginning rack migrations to our Cisco ACI fabric in our Maidenhead (DC5) datacentre.

What will happen?

Our engineering team will be migrating uplinks for 12 Top-of-rack 2960-X switches split across 2 datahalls. After each set of 2960-X's are re-patched to the ACI leaves, our network team will assess northbound connectivity out of the rack and ensure no packet loss.

When will the work be carried out?

The maintenance work will begin at 23:00 (BST) on Thursday 12th October 2017 and is expected to last up to 4 hours until 03:00 (BST) Friday 13th October 2017.

Who will be completing the work?

All of the work will be completed by our experienced iomart network and infrastructure team.

Will I experience downtime?

As with any upgrade or maintenance work there is an increased risk of service interruption; during this maintenance window 5-10 minutes of downtime will be incurred while each rack is migrated.  If you have any further questions or concerns regarding this work, please contact our support team who will be happy to discuss things further.
