9.20am
Approximately 20 minutes ago we received reports that MySQL was down on this server.  A senior system administrator is working on this now.  We've had to temporarily stop Apache on the server to keep the load down while we repaired some databases.  We'll have the server back on line as quickly as we can and apologise for the blip in uptime this morning for this server.  We will post the latest information on this announcement so refresh it to read updates.

9.45am
We've had to dump all current databases to resolve this issue and I have been told they are now being restored.  Our senior admin working on the issue has told me he needs to go work on the issue and can update me once it is resolved.  I am sorry I do not have any more precise information at this time but please be assured this is being worked on with absolutely priority by the senior staff member on shift.

Everything is back and working again.  Apologies for this outage.  Just for the avoidance of doubt as some clients have been on chat concerned.  When we said we were restoring the databases we meant we were restoring from a dump taken just before so there is no data loss.  The reason we needed to do this is complex and due to how MySQL indexes work (or in our case did not work before we rebuilt them).
