We have today stopped any of our clients signing up for a new Weebly Site Builder Account. Existing clients are not affected but we will be writing to these clients in the coming weeks to explain some options as we intend to stop offering Weebly in the coming months.
Weebly was a leading site builder product many years ago but now only accounts for about a fraction of a percentage of the site builder market and since Weebly was acquired by Square we assume their business strategy has changed as Weebly has not had a new feature in over a year and it has stopped being actively developed.
A simple Google Search 'Has Weebly gone out of business' will give you a number of third party websites to confirm that Weebly has stopped being developed for over a year now.
We'll look to implement another site builder as we appreciate many clients love the simplicity of such a builder.
We need to stress for the time being we will continue to pay our Weebly Monthly Invoice so existing clients are not affected at the moment. We appreciate many clients have spent time building their websites in Weebly but we could not have realistically prediced that Weebly would stop actively developing their product so those clients will need to consider their options and we will be there to help them each step of the way.
