Management Statement re Spam Experts
Spam Experts (www.spamexperts.com) is a third party enterprise mail filtering solution that we have been using for many years. One License is included with our Business Hosting Plans and 5, 10 and 20 licenses are included in our MS20, 40 and 60 plans respectively. We also bundle some licenses with all managed servers as advertised on our website for each respective server plan.
In the past we were very liberal at issuing these licenses to clients and we have some clients with significantly more licenses than are included with their plan. It's important you know that Spam Experts is a third party product that comes at a cost to us and for every license we issue and our Spam Experts invoice is now fairly sizeable.
It should be noted that from 1 September 2023 for all new Spam Experts Licenses issued we will be adhering strictly to the 'number of included' licenses as advertised on our hosting plans pages and any additional licenses will be issued at a modest cost of £2 + VAT per month per license issued. This is well below the recommended retail price for this product and well below what another local hosting competitor charges.
This seems like the most fair way to handle this situation rather than start billing for multiple licenses that through no fault of a client we neglected to invoice for.
