September 2023 - March 2024
From September 2023 to March 2024 we will be upgrading a significant number of our older servers.
If our staff have directed you to this page in a support ticket it means you are a client whose server is deployed on CentOS Version 7 as your Operating System. Unfortunately this operating system is coming end of life soon and will stop getting security patches and security updates. This means we need to replace your server with one running a newer operating system. This move is vital for continued secure hosting.
At the same time we are moving older legacy servers away from our rented server racks into our new BWF Data Centre here in Northern Ireland and your IP address will change. Our local data centre allows us to give better service as we have staff based there so we do not need to rely on remote hands to help with deploying / fixing servers.
In most cases where we control your DNS we can handle the move without any intervention from you.
If you use a third party service to manage your DNS (such as your domain registrar) we will let you know when we need you to make some DNS changes.
