cPanel have announced some more license cost increases for our VPS and Dedicated Server Clients. We will summarise these below but we do have some excellent alternatives we can work with you on to help you move away from the cPanel ecosystem.

The price increases came into effect from 1 January 2025. We are only starting today to adjust billing and given we invoice 21 days in advance we have absorted the increase for 1 month. Unfortunately we do need to pass the increases on. Any client who wants to move away from the cPanel ecosystem we will give priority to your ticket and we have a team member assigned for nothing but migrations for the next month as we expect a lot of folk wanting to move given the above inflation increases from cPanel over the past 5 years.
SOLO Cloud Licenses (VPS/Cloud Servers)
The cost of the SOLO Cloud licenses (single website) is increasing by an eye watering 88% and we no longer recommend any client use cPanel for hosting a single website as we feel the cost is not worth the benefit. We strongly recommend if you still are using cPanel to host a single website you consider Enhance Panel. As Enhance supports Openlitespeed out of the box and REDIS Object Cache out of the box (as opposed to a standard cPanel install being Apache) you tend to see faster website load times on an Enhance Panel site immediately. The team can help you move your website over to Enhance and you can avoid these increases.
SOLO Metal Licenses (Dedicated Servers)
The cost of the SOLO Metal licenses (single website) is increasing by an eye watering 33% and we no longer recommend any client use cPanel for hosting a single website as we feel the cost is not worth the benefit. We strongly recommend if you still are using cPanel to host a single website you consider Enhance Panel. As Enhance supports Openlitespeed out of the box and REDIS Object Cache out of the box (as opposed to a standard cPanel install being Apache) you tend to see faster website load times on an Enhance Panel site immediately. Admin Cloud Licenses (up to 5 Domains)
The cost of the Admin Cloud Licenses increases by approx 9%. Given these servers only host up to 5 domains it is usually a simple task to move away from cPanel and we would encourage you to reach out to us and we can help you. Enhance is a great option for you as well and our team are standing by to help or answer any questions.
Pro Cloud Licenses (up to 30 Domains)
The cost of the Pro Cloud Licenses increase by approx 9%. Given these servers only host up to 30 domains it is a relatively simple task to move away from cPanel and we would encourage you to reach out to us and we can help you. Enhance is a great option for you as well and our team are standing by to help or answer any questions.
Premier Cloud & Metal Licenses (up to 100 Domains)
The Premier & Metal licenses are increasing by 1% so it is a modest price increase. Our team can assist you if you wish to explore a move away from cPanel.
Bulk Domain Costs
Bulk Licenses (where a server has more than 100 domains) are increasing by 20% per additional domain per month.
Shared Web Hosting
If you have a shared web hosting account on cPanel we will not be increasing your cost due to cPanel license increases at this time. However if you wish to move away from cPanel you may reach out to the team and we can get you options to move to Enhance Panel.
A note on Enhance and White Label Control Panel
A number of clients were not keen initially on using Enhance Panel as it had our branding on it and they sell hosting as a white label service. We are pleased to report that you can now completely white label your Enhance Hosting Panel with your own Domain Name to access the Panel and your own branding and logo. We hope this will help those clients who in the past have opted not to move to Enhance due to it not being 100% white label.
Servers running end of life CentOS 7 Operating System
If your server runs an end of life operating system (CentOS 7) then cPanel are continuing to force you to pay for a Tuxcare License to patch the server against vulnerabilities. If you are in this category, Tuxcare was first added to your bill 6 months ago. cPanel are doubling the cost of Tuxcare from January 2025 and there is no way to opt out. As we mentioned 6 months ago if you are affected by this our team are ready to build you a new server with a modern operating system so this charge can be removed. We are standing ready to advise on this just open a support ticket and enquire about upgrading your server to remove the Tuxcare charge.
We're disappointed by these continued price increases and we're pleased to report that over 50% of our clients now use a panel other than cPanel. We appreciate many users still enbrace cPanel as their panel of choice but we will continue to pass on these price increases as they are given to us. The vast majority of clients who move away from cPanel to Enhance are happy and have had a very positive experience. Our team are standing by to answer any questions you have.
