Web Host Manager Quick Start Print

This section should contain everything you need to know about logging into WHM (Web Host Manager) on your server. If you are not familiar with WHM you may find it a little daunting at first so let us know if you need any help and we are more than happy to schedule a time on our website live chat to talk you through the basics.

To access WHM, use the address and login information provided in the email you would have received following the server build. If you need this information again, just pop in a support ticket and we can get these details for you.

To Create a New Account

  1. The first thing you need to do is scroll down on the left and click on 'Add Package' so that you can create your own hosting packages. This is a recommended step as you can assign resources to each account, for example: bandwidth, disk space, number of databases/email accounts. There are more options on the Add Package page and if you need an explanation of these, just pop on live chat and we can assist with a rundown of what each value does.
  2. Once you have created a package, click on 'Create a New Account' from the left hand side menu, you can find this under the "Account Functions" section.
  3. Put the domain in the 'Domain' box, do not include www or http(s)://.
  4. The username should automatically fill, and this is usually the first 8 characters of the domain name.
  5. Fill in the password for the account, it is recommended to use a strong password and you can use the password generator to create one for you.
  6. Put in an email address, this can be then used if you need to reset the password on the account. If you do not fill this in, you can also reset the password from within WHM later on
  7. You can then choose a package that you created earlier for the account
  8. Then scroll down and press the create button

This will give you a confirmation page (you should print/download this for your records)

If you are unsure on any of the options on the "Create a New Account page", just pop on live chat and a member of the team can assist you in explaining the option

If you need a hand getting started or if you need a hand with migrating your existing website to the server, just get in contact with our technical team who will be more than happy to help
